SUE – SERIES OF UNEXPECTED EVENTS

SUE 2019, was an initiative of the City of Onkaparinga, that took place across a diversity of  sites in Port Noarlunga, over 3 Sundays in October 2019.  Curated by OSCA Artistic Director Paul Gazzola, SUE’s diverse program offered the public a unique opportunity to experience and encounter adventurous art works that sparked curiosity, intrigue and joy.

13 site located installation,  performance and virtual art works were created by a gathering of innovative lstate, national and international artists. Including – Carlie Angel (SA),  Martyn Coutts (VIC), Steven Cybulka (SA), Gail Hocking (SA), Heidi Karo and Isadore Glockner-Karo (SA), Francois Knoetze (ZAF), Susannah Langley and Wayne Armstrong (VIC), Rebecca McEwan and Laura Wills (SA), Kaspar Schmidt Mumm (SA), Cynthia Schwertsiek (SA), Tanya Voges (SA), Marius Jansen van Vuuren (ZAF) & Ella Ziegler (GER).

Connected to the festival was a series of 2 x 2 day workshops titled TRANSFORMING EVERYDAY SITES that focused on temporary site-based art and place-making projects in public spaces. The workshops were open to artists, creatives, performers, art workers and other interested individuals of all ages and levels of practice.
